CLAUDIA MORANDINI'S SMILE AND DETERMINATION CONTRIBUTE TO RPM CYCLING

Claudia Morandini, with her trademark smile and grit, will be pedalling alongside RPM in 2017. Born in Trentino in 1982 and raised in Val di Fiemme, Claudia Morandini will be one of thenew brand ambassadors that have been chosen by RPM. The company based in Montebelluna that specializes in the manufacturing of technical sports clothing, with particular emphasis in the cycling sector, has selected a group of top athletes to field test the products from their new collection.

Claudia Morandini is a very popular and well-appreciated face in the world of sports. For more than ten years, between 1998 and 2008, she was a member of the Italian National Alpine Ski team. She participated in many European Cup series races, taking three podiums. She also competed in World Cup events, and she won the Italian title in the Special Slalom in 2002.

When she hung up her skis, Claudia became a host and commentator for several television and radio shows, collaborating with the major Italian national networks, including Rai Sport, Sky, Rai and Radio 2. She was also a familiar face on Eurosport, where she worked as the technical expert for Women’s World Cup skiing events.

A skier by profession, a loving mother and a passionate cyclist, Claudia Morandini perfectly represents the RPM brand philosophy. As an ex-professional skier she knows how important it is for an athlete to be able to count on high quality technical sports clothing, and as a woman in the show system she pays careful attention to the style and design of the products that reflect her image.

Claudia is engaged to her fellow citizen Matteo Trentin, a professional cyclist who rides for the Quick-Step Floors juggernaut and a flag bearer for the Italian National team. 2 years ago she and the champion from Trentino had a baby named Giovanni. Now she lives in Monte Carlo, and since an unusual cold snap has descended on the Principality of Monaco and the Cote d’Azzure, she has been able to test out some products from the new RPM winter collection.

“With RPM garments bike riding is a pleasant experience, even in these arctic temperatures,” reports Morandini. “In these last several days I’ve had the chance to try out two items in particular from the RPM collection, the No Rain Jacket and the Classic Winter Bib Shorts. The jacket keeps the body warm and dry, and can always be used when it is raining and very cold; in the winter season it’s perfect worn over a long sleeved jersey. The Classic Winter Bib Shorts on the other hand is a warm bib shorts outfit that is however comfortable and performing during the ride. I’d like to thank the company owners who have called on me to serve as a brand ambassador for their projects. I can’t wait to try out all the other pieces of the RPM Cycling collection, too”.
