TOM PIDCOCK SELECTED BY THE JUNIOR BRITISH NATIONAL TEAM FOR THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN BERGEN

Tom Pidcock has been called to compete among the juniors for the British National team that will be participating in the road cycling World Championships in Bergen (Norway) from September 17th to the 24th.

The current reigning cyclocross Junior World and European Champion will now get the chance to enjoy a fantastic finish to an extraordinary and successful season, where he stood out as an absolute star, not only in cyclocross but also on the road, like when he won the Paris-Roubaix back in April.

Pidcock will make his debut in the Norwegian World Championships on Tuesday, September 19th, in the junior category individual time trial. On Saturday, September 23rd, he will take part in the one day event, on the same roads where the pros will be doing battle the next day to try to break Peter Sagan’s dominion of the iridescent race.

This season Tom Pidcock has been riding with the colours of Team Ph-MAS-Paul Milnes ERT, the young crew from Yorkshire that chose the quality of RPM Cycling products for their technical clothing.

“It’s been a long, hard season but I’ve been working hard during these months to because I want to make it to this iridescent event in the best possible form,” says Tom Pidcock. “I’m in good physical shape and my leg seems to be responding well, but as always it’s the road that will give the final verdict. The route is suited to my skills and if I feel well, I will try to attack. There are a lot of adversaries to keep in check, so we’re going to need the entire team to do a great job. The World Championships are always the most important event of the year and I am going to try and give it my all, before returning to my cyclocross season again soon after.”
